- Crib bumpers: These are so cute and tempting I know… But they are considered unsafe for your little one due to smothering hazards. If you do decide to get one just for looks make sure you take it out every single night.
- Drop-down cribs: These are considered dangerous as well. The bars have been known to fall injuring little ones. NOT ok… Don’t be tempted to get one. It’s amazing they even still sell these but they do.
- Tons of toys: A few toys are great but the fact is they won’t play with most things for the first 4 months or so. Having a few really good ones for after this stage is key. They’ll be happy with that and otherwise explore the world around them.
