MONETIZE WITH CPM OR CPC ADS\

Placing ads on your blog is one way to make a bit of money. It’s the most common way but you need a good amount of traffic to earn anything substantial.

Tailwind Visual Marketing Suite

But still, You have to start somewhere and it does bring in a trickle of money usually pretty quickly and it’s fun to watch! There are 2 very popular types of ads:
CPM Ads: or COST PER 1,000 IMPRESSIONS, otherwise known as ads that give you a certain sum of money based on the number of individuals that view your ads. And
CPC Ads (Cost per click) otherwise referred to as PPC (Pay per click) are generally banners that people place in their sidebars or content. Each time these ads are clicked by readers, the owners are paid for that click.

Google Ad-sense is the most popular network for placing ads of these sorts, But it’s not the best..Publishers don’t typically make much with this company.
With Google Ad-sense you don’t need to be in direct contact with the advertisers; all you need to do is place the banner on your website and Google picks ads that are of importance to your content, and these ads are clicked on by your viewers.
There are millions of these programs available if you observe that Ad-sense doesn’t work well for you, such as Media.net, Info-links, and Chitika..  These are all great for beginners.
There are tons of bigger companies as well once you get more pages views. You will make much more at that point.
Ad Thrive is the Mack daddy of all Ad Networks if you really want to make money with Ads. You have to have at least 100,000 page views per month before they will accept you though but when they do your ad income will go from hundreds to thousands.

SELL PRIVATE ADS OR DO SPONSORED POSTS.

When it comes to Making money with ads, working with advertising networks is not your only alternative. If you have enough traffic advertisers will come to you directly and ask you to place their ads on your website. You can contact them yourself also. The huge difference from the aforementioned option is that there are no middlemen, which simply means you can set your personal ad rates.
Private ads can come in the form of links, buttons, or banners. You can even make cash just by writing sponsored posts where you give a review or write about an advertiser’s service or product. Writing an underwritten series or post is another option, which is where you can just write about any topic you have, but the advertisers pay for the “Brought to you by”; mentioned in the content.
The ways you make your income selling ads will vary. You might for instance charge a one-time fee for a particular link in a post, or You might charge your partners every month; If you are hosting banner ads.

Pro Tip:
To maximize your income, you can choose to also sell sponsorship space in your podcasts, videos, and newsletters.

Affiliate Income

Another awesome way of monetizing your blog is through affiliate marketing. This is how it works:
An advertiser has products he wants to sell. He agrees to give you commission from the sale if the buyer(s) are coming from your website.
He gives you a specific link that tracks your affiliate code. He then knows when exactly a buyer makes use of your link to make a purchase.
You include the affiliate link on your website. You can do this through banner ads or directly in the content. You earn a percentage of what the reader purchases if he or she clicks on your link and buys any product recommended by you.
You can make use of affiliate marketing through ads networks such as Amazon Associates or you can simply create private partnerships with businesses and advertisers with an affiliate program.
There are also companies like Share~A~Sale and Click Bank. They are great for beginners.
I do recommend you take a good online course in Affiliate Marketing if you really want to make money this way. It can be very lucrative but you need to be educated on the laws and techniques of Marketing products through a blog. I took Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing. It’s by Michelle over at Making Sense of Cents and she makes $100,000+ a month and a huge portion of that is affiliate sales. She is the absolute go-to expert in this field and the course is worth every cent. They have a two-month payment plan too and it’s very reasonably priced compared to other blogging courses. You can check it out here if you’re interested.

SELL DIGITAL PRODUCTS

Eventually, you will want to create your own products. Just about every blogger does and it’s your real path to financial freedom. I know it may sound like a daunting task at first but I promise, once you start blogging and you really get going, Ideas will just fall into your lap.
Don’t worry about it at first, just create epic content. But after the first year when you have built up your email list somewhat, you can begin considering your choices.
Some of the different products you could sell are~

Courses
eBooks
Apps, themes, or plugins
Online workshops

Just make sure that your products are great and that you do tons of research. Make a great, quality product that solves your reader’s problems and you will do great. Pay attention and really focus on your reader’s needs.
USE YOUR BLOG AS A CONTENT MARKETING TOOL FOR YOUR PHYSICAL BUSINESS
If you have some sort of physical location and you sell physical products it’s great to have a blog as well. The web is a powerful marketing tool that every business needs to be a part of. You can create fans and useful content that will bring customers to your business time and time again. All great businesses have a blog and online Marketing strategy.
This can double or triple the amount of income you make with physical products.

SELL MEMBERSHIPS

Another money making option is selling memberships to exclusive areas of your site. A career blog may charge $20 monthly for instance; for individuals to have access to their work board. A startup blog might give memberships for sale to their forums where individuals can get information that would not normally be found elsewhere.
I have to say that I am not a fan of this money making technique. Monthly subscriptions sites have their onset of issues and I am not interested in dealing with that, and forgive me for saying so if you have a membership site but I think they’re a bit tacky :/
But anyway, The main factor here is that your exclusive membership needs to be relatively valuable and something that cannot be found in other places on the web, obviously.

USE IT TO BUILD CREDIBILITY

Using Your blog to expand credibility can lead to several money-making opportunities. Let’s say for instance that you begin a blog in the financial industry. Individuals start reading your content and as a result, your blog gets very popular. Now, you are a recognized individual in the financial industry.
People may approach you because of your authority; to co-author, a book(s) on debt management or you could even charge to speak at a conference or to even run an employee finance training camp. The possibilities are really endless.
These are just a few ways to make money blogging but there are plenty of other opportunities out there.
If you’re interested in doing this You should absolutely go for it! It’s truly an awesome way to find your financial freedom.
Here’s an amazing tutorial with screenshots of every step if you want to have a look. You’ll be able to get set up in about half an hour.
Cheers to making money!

Make Money At Every Stage Of Blogging, How To make income From the Start

When I first started blogging a couple years back, I knew I wanted to make money Blogging, but I wasn’t sure how to go about it. I knew many bloggers made a full-time income and even much, much more than that but I just didn’t know where to begin.

As I began to do research and dip myself deep into Blogland Things began to come together quite nicely. I found that there are many ways to make a living blogging and You can start right from the beginning…

I mean you’re definitely not going to get rich overnight but you can create a trickle of income at the start and that’s exciting. Every little bit helps and it will give you the boost in morale that you need to keep going.

In a few short months, you can be making enough income to pay a couple of bills. In a couple of years, if you work really hard, you can be making enough to support yourself and family at the very least.

In this post, I will show you how to begin making money from day one. This IS possible. I will show you exactly how so read on my friends…

I will go over advertising income, Sponsored Posts and And affiliate programs for each stage of blogging, from the beginning to Pro.

By the way, This post contains a couple of affiliate links that help support our blog at no extra cost to you. I only include links to things I love and know well.

Let’s Make Money Blogging!

If you have between 0 To 29,000 Pageviews

Many bloggers feel like they cannot make money blogging at such an early stage, but you sure can! It won’t pay the mortgage, not typically anyways, but you can bring some in. It can be very fun and encourage you to push through the waiting period that all bloggers go through at the start.

By the way, If you’re looking for a good educational resource on how to Increase your page views there’s an ebook called From 17,000 to 350,000 pages views in 9 months. It’s by Lena at What Mommy Does and it’s currently the leading book on the subject. She tells you exactly how she went from less than 20,000 to a whopping 350,000 in 9 months. Man, that is absolutely mind-blowing! I have read the book and it’s very good. It’s a must-read for any blogger. You can go over and have a look right here if you are interested.

So anyway, moving right along ?

This is a good Network to start with. They will approve you as long as your blog looks professional and legit. You need about 10,000 to get approval and they’re easy to work with.

Google Adsense

You can sign up for Google Adsense pretty much from the beginning but I say skip it. They pay pennies and they’re just not that great. Sorry Google.

Infolinks

Infolinks is a pretty good network to start with. You will make more then you would with Google Adsense and the payout threshold is much lower. All in all, it’s a good place to start.

Gourmet Ads

If you do any sort of food and recipe blogging this network is for you! They’re a great ethical company and you only need 1000 page views a month to start with this company.

Media.net

This is another top choice for beginning bloggers and small business owners. This is a major network with high-quality advertisers. They have no minimum on traffic and they’re very good at targeting their ads at the right audience. This is the best choice here and my opinion. You can sign up here.

Did you know that a brand new blog with low traffic can still get some pretty good paying sponsored posts? It’s true! There are some awesome companies that will pay you well to write their posts. Check them out below~

Social Fabric

Social Fabric is the best Sponsor Network to join when you are first starting out. They will pay $200 a post once you have 5000 page views per month. They will pay $50 or so if you are below that. Not too shabby for a beginner. They can provide pretty consistent work too so this should be your first choice if you’re looking to do sponsored work.

Direct Contact

This is the next option you should consider when it comes to Sponsored Posts. You should consider contacting the companies that interest you directly. There are other companies like Social Fabric for newer blogs but the posts they offer you will be inconsistent until you are getting more page views.

You can email them and let them know you are interested in working with them. Some will be interested in working with you and some will not be until later. But it’s certainly doesn’t hurt and you can get work this way.

One benefit of doing this is that you can set your own prices and you cut out the middleman so you keep more of your dough, yo. Yep, I just made a rhyme ;0

But seriously, Don’t be afraid to do this. You’re a Boss Babe and you gotta go for it. The worst that can happen is them saying no.

Massive Sway

This is another great company ran by The Sits Girls and a few others. Your opportunities will be less consistent with lower page views but you will get some work.

I recommend you join both Massive Sway and Social Fabric while contacting a few of your fav companies in between. This will keep you busy if Sponsored Posts are your thing.

Have you thought about starting a Blog but you’re not sure how to go about it? Are you on the fence because it seems too technical?? It’s really not nearly as hard as you think. You can set up a blog for very cheap in about 15 minutes even if you have no idea what you’re doing. Here’s a tutorial with screenshots to get you started. Do something life changing and become your own Girl Boss today!!

Amazon Associate’s Program

If you know anything about blogging then you have heard of this program. You can put up an affiliate link for anything under the sun { if it’s on Amazon of course } and earn a tincy, tiny commission from it. You have a whopping 24-hour cookie with them.

Do you detect a bit of sarcasm?? Well, you’re right my friends, I’m not a huge fan. I think they’re a bit greedy when it comes to their program.

With that being said some do earn a good bit from them and You do get a commission for everything customers buy that was in their cart when they purchase products from your link so that helps.

It’s pretty easy to get accepted into the initial stages of this program but you need to make some conversions within a specific amount of time or they boot you out. They do say you can rejoin once your site is bigger though.

Speaking of affiliate sales, it’s good to get educated on the laws and techniques used in this part of the industry. Affiliate sales don’t happen by accident { not usually }, and you really need to know what you’re doing. It’s a good idea to take a course on affiliate marketing and I suggest you look into Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing.  This course is by Michelle over at Making sense of cents. She makes over $100,000 a MONTH. She is an expert on the subject and she knows what she’s talking about. I mention this course often because I have taken it and it’s excellent. This is the best education on affiliate marketing currently found on the web so have a look here if you’re wanting to learn more.

BrandCycle

BrandCycle is a great option for beginners. It’s sort of like Amazon only you can sign up to get affiliate links at places like American eagle, Banana Republic, Etsy, Lacoste, Macy’s,  Target and many more. They pretty much cover all the major retail companies and products that Amazon Doesn’t. In my opinion, they are WAY better than Amazon. They have much cooler stuff and the payouts are often better.

The cookie for BrandCycle is 30 days so this company is a great one to work with all around.

Share~A~Sale

This is the best Affiliate network to join for beginners. They are definitely my favorite. They are easy to use and they almost always approve everyone. You can take a look at Share~A~Sale here.

Blurb Affiliate Program

Have you seen or heard of the Blurb Platform? You can make your own eBooks or even hard copies. You can make photo books, children’s books, novels, cookbooks and anything else you can think of. People LOVE that! These products sell themselves and their affiliate program can help you easily make money. Put up a few manners and write about it a few times and you’ll start making money. The program is easy to join, you don’t need a big audience to get accepted and they are very professional and helpful. You won’t be disappointed in this affiliate program and its easy income. You have to join this one! It’s the PERFECT starter affiliate program. You can join right here and new affiliates get a free gift.

30,000 to 99,000 Page Views

So you have worked really hard and you made it to 30,000 Pageviews!  Great, I know it wasn’t easy…

Now you will have more opportunities to really increase your income. Let’s look at ways to maximize your money at this point.

MediaVine

MediaVine is the best in between Ad Network. There are no others that really compare. Your ad income will jump from around $50 to $350-$500 when you switch to them so they’re a great company to work with.

Pollinate Media and RealClever

These are the two Sponsor Platforms you will want to join at this point. The Sponsored posts offered will pay a good bit more from these lovely companies. They can be picky about who the approve though so make sure you have all your ducks in a row..

At This point, you can essentially apply to any network as far as affiliate platforms are concerned. As long as your Blog is Professional and Well Pulled together you will likely get approved.

You can now begin making more money with companies that give you a larger percentage of referrals and sells. There are hundreds of affiliate networks to choose from. Just sit down with Google for a bit and do your research and pick the ones that best suit your needs.

If there is a company that you’re interested in but you cannot seem to find anywhere, you can always contact them individually. Most larger companies have a program somewhere and they can point you in the right direction.

Now is a good time to consider creating your own products. Most bloggers do this eventually. At this early in the game, I would suggest a nice Ebook to start. Once you really get going you should consider courses and programs.

This is really where the dough comes pouring in. If you have a really awesome product and you have researched how to launch it just right, you can do really well.

Here’s a great Ebook by Lena At What Mommy does that will teach you just How to write and launch your first ebook. It’s a good Book so be sure to check it out!

Higher Than 100,000 Page Views

Woohooo! You’re Awesome and you know it! You have worked hard and you have hit that golden Marker that every blogger hopes for. If you’re especially lucky and especially smart you’ll make your way much higher and worrying about how to increase your income won’t be something you ponder very often anymore. You’ll know the ends and outs and you’ll know just what to do to keep those numbers rising.

At this point, you can join anything you want as long as your site doesn’t contain some kind of inappropriate content. The world is your oyster ?

You’ll surely want to create digital products at this point as well. With a growing fan base like this, there will be plenty of money to be made on your subject of choice.

Congrats to you!

One company I do want to mention is AdThrive.  This company is the Holy Grail of Ad companies, at least in my opinion.  You do have to get to 100,000 page views to hang with this crew.

Once you’re able to join your ad income will jump from hundreds to thousands a month! That’s good money for something as simple as ads so be sure to apply once you get to the top..

Well, That’s it! As you can see, there are plenty of opportunities to make money blogging at every stage.  Make sure you do your research and maximize your income at each stage without sacrificing the reader’s experience.

Enjoy the journey, my friends!

If you enjoyed this post I would love it if you would share it with your friends, It would mean so much to me! You can share with the buttons below, The Pinterest graphic below or the buttons to the left of the page. Thanks so much!!

How To Make Your Blog Sticky So You Get The Most Page Views

How To Make Your Blog Sticky So You Get The Most Page Views

This Post May contain aff.iliate links that help support our blog

Sticky blogs are successful blogs. You know, the ones you visit and find really hard to leave.

You came to read one quick article, but you see another link that looks really interesting, then another. You are sucked down into their funnel and you end up God knows where. You just had ten minutes to browse, but now you have sat here for 30 and dinner is burning.

Well, that happens to me all the time. That is the way you want your blog to be. You want it to be so interesting and seductive that your audience returns again and again. That will give you loyal followers and conversions over the long haul.

So how do you make your blog super sticky? Let’s go over some things you can do to really get your peeps to stick around.

Front Page Opt~Ins

First and foremost, you want a big opt~in on your homepage. It should be at the very top and the first thing that your audience sees.

This is important because you want to find a way to capture their email so you can remind them to come back often. This is the first step in creating a sticky blog and making that permanent connection between you and your audience.

how to make your blog sticky

Internal Linking to your Content

Creating Internal Links is a great way to get people to stay longer. This gets me every time, I always end up reading several articles on any good blog because  they have links to other related content that I am interested in and they put that content up front and center.

In each and every post you should add little sections of related content to entice them to read more. You can add a section for related posts, Top posts, or whatever else you think will work. Don’t be afraid to use a little click bait, Just don’t be tacky.

You don’t have to use the original title to the post either, just make sure it conveys the same message in some way. Using words like ” Ultimate” and  “Hacks ” in the title will help attract readers and make them think they cannot miss that content because it’s so important. This will lead them through your blog and keep them there longer.

Open Links in a new window

Having Links open in a new window will ensure that your reader doesn’t end up on another site clicking their internal links and going through their website. Your window stays open so they can get back to reading the good stuff. It will also decrease your bounce rates.

Blog Design

Your blog design should be on point. Many beginning bloggers make the mistake of cluttering up their site with so much unnecessary junk. They also try to add pretty fonts and bright colors but your blog isn’t a fashion show. You want really good navigation, a prominent search bar, and your theme should highlight your content. If someone comes to your blog and you have some crazy, hard to read font and everything is disorganized they are gonna leave, my friends. Especially if there’s no way to search your site. Make it easy and beautiful.

The Best Theme for any blog or business is Divi. There’s nothing better and if you last in online business you will eventually end up with this theme. Everyone does.

You should start your business off the right way and begin learning Divi Now. Have a look at Divi at Elegant Themes right here.

Watch that sidebar

Putting too many outbound links in your side bar gives your audience to many opportunities to be whisked away into internet land. They will have too many options and end up on another site altogether. You want a couple important links but keep it simple and clean.

Add links to YOUR best posts and send them in the direction that will benefit you and your readers the most.

Add embedded Media

Everyone loves a good video tutorial. If you have some great stuff on YouTube why not plug it in over on your blog and show off your expertise. This is a definite way to keep your readers on your blog longer and reduce your bounce rates.

Video is definitely the direction everything online is going towards so get in on it now and include it on your website. Google will love your site more for it.

Post Often

The more you post, the more opportunities you have for your pages to be indexed in the search engines. That means your keywords get more exposure and you get more traffic from the web.  Posting 5 or 6 times a week for the first couple months is a good way to really get the ball rolling. After that a couple times a week at least.

Add Super great Photos

Everybody loves looking at great Photos. Make your Blog and posts gorgeous with well lit, Clear photos. Don’t know where to find good photos? Have a look at this post here and you’ll never wonder where to find photography for your business again.

Photos also allow you the option of adding alt tags or keywords ( which you should always include by the way ) that help the search engines identify your photos. By connecting it to your content, you also help web searchers find your content through those photos.

how to make your blog sticky

BookMarking Your Site

Bookmarking will allow you and your Readers to add your content all over the web. There are many great bookmarking sites Like Pinterest, Stumbleupon, Digg, Reddit and Delicious to name a few. Make sure you have a good social plugin Like Monarch that will give you and your readers the options to share through these channels.

Look at the edge of my blog over to the right. See the long bar with all the little icons? I added those With The Monarch Plugin that’s included when you Purchase Divi.

It has all the popular Social Media Sites including all the best Bookmarking sites included so that people can share away. This will send people to your site from all over the web.

Making your Blog ” Sticky ” is important if you want to keep your readers on your site longer.

You don’t want a whole lot of people coming to your site, reading the first paragraph then hitting the back button. Or worse, they hit that button pretty much as soon as they get there. That sucks and it makes your bounce rate go up, which tells Google that your site sucks too.

Implementing the methods in this post will help your audience stay around to read the awesome content you worked so hard on and that’s a good thing!

The Way Your site is presented to the world is extremely important. People want eye candy.

If they come to your site and you have really bad, poorly lit pics, they’ll bounce before the whole page loads.

It’s super important that you have really beautiful, clear bright photos. It can make or break your Blog or Website.  You may have really great content but if your pictures are awful, Well, It’s a huge turnoff.

If you want to really compete with top blogs and Create incredible pins for Pinterest, You will likely need to invest a little.

Luckily, I have the scoop! and I can tell you EXACTLY where the top bloggers get their amazing photos so you can tap into those resources as well.

{quick tip: Never ever just take pics from other blogs or Google. This is a huge no no and many others have been penalized and sued, having to pay huge fines for doing this.

Real, professional blogs either take their own photos or they purchase stock photography. Stock photography can be found all over the web at great rates so don’t worry about it being too expensive. }

Below are a few of my favorite places to get pics. Many other bloggers use these, and I do too.

My absolute fav Site for pictures is Ivory Mix. This girl knows how to take stock photos. I just love them.

Three Bird Nest, Stock photo options

The above photo is one from Ivory Mix.

You won’t be disappointed and I think her current rate is $10 or so bucks a month and you get access to thousands of amazing pics! You can’t go wrong!!

I really love OH TILLY stock photography as well. She is a doll and her photos are fresh, Professional and awesome. About half the photos on my site come from her.

Photo above: Oh Tilly’s

If you’re looking to buy one or two photos at a time you can check out Creative Market. They have some pretty great stuff as well although I personally prefer the services above because you get a whole library at your fingertips and you save a bunch of money. Here’s a lovely photo I bought from Creative Market:

Three Bird Nest, Stock Photos

The next best place is Etsy! Bet you never considered that before. They have fantastic choices at great prices.

Lastly, I wanted to mention Canva. They have stock photos you can choose from and they can be stretched to the appropriate size for your social media outlet. For instance, You find a pic and you want to use it for Pinterest. You can stretch it into the square and show the most attractive part of the pic. Or you can pick their pre-sized photos. You can upload your own Stock photos as well here and fit them into each social media post.

There are other sources for your photo needs too like Shutterstock where you’ll find every type of photo you can think of. They are the stock photo leader on the web and they don’t disappoint.

Those are my top choices for Stock photos and I hope you’ll find one of them to be the perfect fit for your blog or business.

Just remember as I said before, never just take photos of Google or other sites. You don’t want to get into hot water and ruin your business before you get a good start!

Blogging And Email Marketing | What You Need To Know | Blogging Series Part 5

Building a list is one of the most important things you can do for your business. Yet We often get sidetracked with the other things that need to be done and we put this on the back-burner. I know I did. But if you want to make money then you need to give this your undivided attention. It’s so important, in fact, that I recommend you spend 40% of your blogging time on nurturing your email list and trying to grow it as large as possible.

Most people that come to your site won’t come back no matter how good it is. That is just reality, and even the ones who really enjoy it and intend to come back may not come back very often.

People are just busy you know? You need to remind them how great you are and how wonderful your content is. If you don’t they’ll just forget.

Many say that they have a lot of Social media followers and they can share and bring in traffic this way, but it’s not enough. What if you got banned from Pinterest?? This does happen, and it if it happened to you, you would lose that interaction with your audience. But you own your list. It’s yours and you will always have it.

There are a lot of questions that come up when thinking about an email list, Like Who would sign up?? What in the world would I even send to my subscribers? What kind of mail service should I use?

Well, let me start by saying that if you are in need of a mail service then ConvertKit is the only way to go. The system is made specifically for bloggers so that you can gain as many subscribers as possible and it WORKS.

You will need to understand the platform inside and out so I highly recommend you take the ConvertKit Essentials course. I took it and it helped me really get to know their platform.

Now you’re wondering how you can capture those precious emails? Bloggers use to just put a pop up on their site and that worked just fine, or a Subscribe box in their sidebar.

That just doesn’t cut it anymore. People have simply trained themselves to ignore that little box because they are everywhere.

One way to gain opt~ins is to create content upgrades or free downloads upon sign up. Everyone loves a freebie, especially when it’s truly helpful. It’s an exchange, you offer something up to your audience and then they give you their email and this WORKS REALLY WELL.

All modern bloggers do this and it helps them grow their list really quickly. Make sure you put real effort into it though, no one wants some crappy pdf that took 5 minutes to make. Lame.

You can also offer free email courses or a free Ebook. ConvertKit makes this super easy by adding what is called sequences, which is an email course layout. You are guided through the whole process and it’s super easy. No other platform can offer that. They also have a section for adding your downloadable freebie and that’s a simple process as well.

If you have a great blog with really good content and you add an opt~in freebie of some kind you will surely gather emails quickly and grow at a satisfactory rate.

Now that we have covered opt~ins let’s talk about what you can send your lovely audience.

For starters, You’ll want to communicate with them consistently. Regular email habits are essential. If you don’t email your list for a month, then one day show up trying to sell them something, you’ll get some annoyed readers and lots of Unsubscribes.

You should send something at least once a week. Maybe pick a day and make sure it goes out then so they will know to expect something from you.

You can email your audience when you have a new post, When there’s some sort of special announcement, When you are featuring a new product, Behind the scenes of your blog, or create a special helpful post that you don’t add to your blog so they are getting exclusive content. That makes them feel special, and don’t be afraid to be yourself and treat your audience like a friend. This makes you personable and likable.

You will get some unsubscribes by the way. Don’t let that break your heart, it happens to the best of us and maybe your content wasn’t what they needed at this point in their journey.

Make sure you start educating yourself on Email Marketing right from the beginning to give your blog the best start possible and pick a great platform like ConvertKit.

Drive Traffic To Your Blog | How To Create Interest Through Social Media And Google | Blogging Series Part 4

This post may contain affiliate links.

We’ve all been there. We’ve hit publish on our latest blog post and expected the comments and shares to start rolling in. But instead, we get… nothing.  You here Crickets… It seems that you are invisible in the internet world and no one cares.

It doesn’t have to be that way. You just need to know how to really put yourself out there.

First off, let’s talk about social media. Many people share their post as soon as it’s finished ONCE and then move on. But perhaps that’s not the best way. You need to share more.

A much better solution is to share each blog post multiple times, depending on the platform, in a timely fashion. For example, you might tweet, Facebook share and Google+ your article as soon as you hit publish.

Then a day later you might want to tweet it again. Perhaps the following week it’s time for another Google+ share, and so on, And I would lend extra attention to Pinterest. I like to create 3 pins for each article with slightly different titles, then share each of them.

After that, I will schedule the pins to go out over and over again between my other pins, mostly to group boards, once they are on my own boards. I use Tailwinds to do this.

These are invaluable tools, as I have mentioned in the past.

The next thing you can do is make your content SEO friendly. Search engines are a massive opportunity for traffic, yet many bloggers ignore this channel for a variety of reasons that usually have more to do with not truly understanding SEO or just being too busy to bother with it.

This is such a huge mistake. Make sure you research this subject thoroughly as you’re setting up your blog so that you have a good hold on the subject right from the beginning.

You can get a good free plugin for SEO like Yoast. It will walk you through everything you need for your blog and for each post and it’s an invaluable tool.

SEMrush

Keyword research is also something you need to learn about and consider strongly. Not surprisingly, a big part of showing up in search engines is targeting the terms and phrases your audience are actually typing into a search engine. It’s hard to know what these words will be unless you do some research, and luckily, there’s a free tool from Google to help called the AdWords Keyword Planner.

There are also Great tools Like Semrush that give you a massive keyword advantage. You can really get a leg up on SEO using the right kind of tools and Semrush is the best. Try it out below~ Pick a Keyword!

And by the way, you should always add Google Analytics to your site so that you can see where all your traffic is coming from. Then you will be able to concentrate in that area, adding even more content and creating more sales and conversions.

Guest posting is a great way to get traffic or allowing someone from a high authority blog to guest post on your site. This will point other audiences in your direction.

It will help spread your brand to new folks who’ve never seen your work before, and it can be useful in earning early links and references back to your site, which will drive direct traffic and help your search rankings.

Another awesome way to get attention online is to add useful, non~spammy comments to other blogger’s posts. Or contribute to Reddit.

Answering questions on Quora is a great idea as well.

There are many other ways to drive traffic to your blog and this just scratches the surface. You will need to do your own research and find other venues that will work for you. Study this subject deeply and look at other similar blogs and find out what they are doing. Model their success.

Think about this tonight and make a simple list of ways you will start off with when you launch, then do a little SEO research and go from there. You can do this. It gets simpler as you move forward. Education is key.
